Kalamba Games and BetPlay in LATAM alliance
Online gambling software provider Kalamba Games has further expanded its presence in the ever-growing LATAM market after partnering up with Latin operator BetPlay in Colombia, which leads the market in the country.
Such a partnership has received high praise from industry insiders, who recognise the pedigree of Kalamba’s content suite, which includes an extensive portfolio of slots and casino games that can really add to what BetPlay already has.
The LATAM market has been steadily growing over the last year, especially Colombia where there is a particular interest in online gambling, reflected by BetPlay’s impressive growth rate.
BetPlay focused on becoming number one in Colombia
Although there is some competition in this market, not least from US-based firm RSI (Rush Street Interactive), BetPlay has demonstrated its ambition over the last 12 months and has subsequently won considerable market share in Colombia.
Particularly strong in the sports betting niche of the market, with multiple global soccer leagues available to customers, one area that it has identified for improvement is its online casino offering - something that Kalamba has built a reputation in over the last few years.
Under the terms of the deal, BetPlay will add 17 of Kalamba’s games to its portfolio, which have been approved for the Colombian market. These include Caribbean Anne, Ducks Till Dawn, plus a range of others from different series.
This will be initiated via through the aggregation platform that Pariplay Fusion offers in alignment with BetPlay. Perhaps the best addition is the customer enhancement suite that Kalamba offers as a way of significantly increasing the player experience.
Colombia a standout LATAM market?
Despite only having a population of 50 million people, Colombia has shown that it can be a very competitive market for Latin America, which could well be a force to be reckoned with in the global online gambling industry.
It does perhaps face competition from Mexico and potentially Brazil (legislation pending), both of whose population dwarfs Colombia’s significantly, however the impressive growth rate in the country is indicative of a potentially big future for the market.
BetPlay currently enjoys a lot of coverage in Colombia and it has cemented this with a clever sponsorship deal of the country’s national football league that has substantially boosted its profile. In addition to this, it has embarked on other astute marketing and promotional campaigns that have added weight to its offering.
